Let�s speak - speaking assessment task + assessment grid
This is an activity I have devised for a speaking test. It�s a semi-open activity with pre-established roles. I�ve implemented it and it works very well. There was also peer assessment. To get familiar with the assessment criteria, all the students received a grid and had to take some notes on the others� competences.

First conditional (will/may/might/can) board game
Use this board game to practise the first conditional using can/may/might modals. Divide students into groups of 3 and give each group a coin. Heads = 2 spaces, tails = 1 space. If a student lands on a space they mush complete the conditional appropriately or go back their previous square.
