Phonemic symbols examples and practice
This work sheet is a good way of checking and buildings students confidence with phonetics. I give this out after teaching them the symbols and get them to sound out the sounds in pairs to make the words. Some words are easier than others but by the end they pick it up and feel a great sense of achievement being able to read phonetics.
