Modals of Advice - Go Fish
This is a communicative activity based on īmatching sentencesī the barrier game and īGo Fishī the traditional card game. In this printable there are 27 pairs of scenario and advice eg. "I have a cold." "You should rest and drink some water." The teacher prints the sheets out (preferably onto A4 sheets of stickers) then cuts them out and affixes them to regular playing cards. The cards are shuffled and groups of up to 6 students can play with a deck following the rules of Go Fish. Each student gets dealt 5 cards, they take out any pairs they are dealt and take turns stating their scenarios hoping to fish out the correct piece of advice, if no one has the matching card, the student has to go fish for another card out of the deck.
