These power points show the topic and topic sentences that shouldn´t should write is small essay formats. Also the teacher may continue to later slides and introduce the thesis sentence/statement. The topic sentences all have the same topic of fast food and a general topic about fast food is given. Students are then given options for match the topic sentences about fast food with the appropriate supporting detail/sentences. More advanced students can continue and match the appropriate thesis statement with all the before mentioned pieces of an essay. Analogies are given to explain that the thesis statement connects the topic sentence and the main points as a HDMI cable between a computer and a projector.
