Counting Animals TPR Game with Sounds!
Very exciting game to practice numbers/farmyard animals, with a little set-up. I use it to drill "How many cows?" "Six cows".
SETUP: Print slides 40-48, and stick on the walls. Finished.
MATERIALS: a bell is usually handy
GAME: 1. Tell the kids to stand by a number (their choice).
2. Bring up the question "How many cows?" on the .ppt.
3. Everyone asks the question.
4. Children by number 1 say "1 cow". Everyone asks the question. Children by number 2 say "2 cows"....go through all numbers asking and answering the question.
5. Click for next slide. A bomb goes off on one number. Whoever is at that number is out. They sit down. Kids left in can move to another number (if they want).
6. Play again with next animal.
7. After 3 or 4 goes, kids left in are the winners. Everyone plays again.
TIP:Give the kids a count down when they are choosing a number, then ring the bell at the end. If they move or talk after the bell, they are out. Stops the game getting too rowdy/noisy.
Enjoy!
