English powerpoint: LANGUAGES & NATIONALITIES - SPEAKING AND COMPARISON FOR BEGINNERS LANGUAGES & NATIONALITIES - SPEAKING AND COMPARISON FOR BEGINNERS

This ppt is suitable for a full hour class. It starts with a table showing a list of "people", where they are from, their language, nationality and where their country is located. I spend a few minutes on this slide asking various questions (who speaks __? Where is __ from? Etc) and the answers must be complete sentences. The next slide shows them a sentence stem for comparing two people. Then they need to give the information about two people in the table. After that, thereŽs a slide (#10) that youŽll need to print off so they can work in pairs to complete (either from their own knowledge, others in the room, their phones - ugh) and a final slide with possible answers, if all else fails. Then, two pairs work together to share comparisons with each other. IŽve been using this format for about 3 years, and it always works great. I finally got around to putting it into ppt form. I hope it works as well for you as it always has for me. (I suggest printing off slides 3 & 10 as handouts) Enjoy!
