Spelling and Pronunciation
This is a powerpoint adapted from the English Pronunciation in Use books (Elementary and Intermediate editions). Because I have a large university class, it is easier for me to make powerpoints to use in class, and I am sharing this for anyone else who uses the book in their classes.
This powerpoint introduces the idea that spelling does not necessarily match up with pronunciation in English, and introduces IPA. There are some exercises at the end from worksheets I found online, and some tongue twisters for students to have fun with practicing pronunciation. There is also an activity where they can write their own tongue twisters. Fully editable powerpoint.
I do not take credit for any of the material here, I only put it together from several different sources.
