School Objects
Hello, this is my first contribution and I hope it can be useful. This activity is thought to review vocabulary. It can be done at the end of the class. The rules are easy:
Write the grid on the blackboard and tell the students that there are 16 words, but only 10 are correct and 6 are wrong. They have to guess the correct ones.
Divide the class into two groups and decide who is going to be the spokesman in each group. The first group starts guessing which word is correct. They will continue doing it until they are wrong. Then, it is the other group’s turn. The value of the answers:
The first 4 correct words: 2 points
The next 2 correct words: 3 points
The next 2 correct words: 4 points
The next 2 correct words: 5 points
This activity is really motivating for the students and it is a useful tool to review any type of vocabulary or to introduce new vocabulary.
It is inspired on a TV contest that was broadcasted in my country some years ago. It really works.
