UNO Game Elementary Level Review UNO Game Elementary Level Review

Hi guys! Iīve been looking for a way to make review of question forms and answers to them fun for my 8-year-old student. He gets bored if I do too much drilling but on the other hand he really needs it since heīs not the fastest learner. So I came up with this game. Itīs very similar to UNO game, the only difference is when you play real UNO you need to put a card either with the same number or with the same color whereas in this game you need a card either with the same picture or the same structure: have got, can, want, etc. How to play: You give each player 4 cards, all the rest of the cards need to be put face down in a pile on the table. Players go by turns. First player puts any card he wants, for example he puts "How old" card, when he puts the card he has to ask the next player a question that he can form with the structure on his card: "How old is he?". Next player has to answer his question: "he is 7", and then he can have a go. He needs a card that either has the same picture as the card on the table or the same structure "How old", for example. If he doesnīt have any of these, he takes cards from the pile one by one till he draws a card that he needs. Example of sentence patterns: Spell: - How do you spell "swim"? - s-w-i-m Have got: - Has he got ears? - Yes, he has. - Have you got ears? - Yes, I have. Can: - Can he swim? - Yes, he can. - Can you swim? - Yes, I can. Name: - Whatīs his name? - His name is Marcel. How old: - How old is he? - He is 7. Where/from: - Where is he from? - He is from France. Want: - Do you want to swim? - Yes, I do. - Does he want to swim? - Yes, he does. - What does he want? - He wants to swim.
