This is a webquest that I use to help students get aware of British history and to tackle the idea of multicultural Great Britain, both nowadays and at the basis of its history. Students usually like the video which makes the study of British Empire not so daunting. You can also use this worksheet to test both Reading and Listening comprehension.

Henry VIII TEAM QUIZ
Check what they know about Hnery VIII and his six wives but also the past simple. I put the pupils in mixed ability groups of 5. It was very motivating. Prepare a nice quiet activity fot the last 5-10 minutes of your lesson as they do get a bit excited.
