This lesson is designed to help students build communicative competence through negotiation of meaning.
Students have to decide on a set of house rules for a number of categories including pets, cleaning, shopping and cooking.
Can be used as an additional activity for a lesson based on modal verbs, or as a lesson in itself.

Ss work in groups (3-5 ss). One S reads the problem from the card, the rest give advice,
e.g "I�ve got a terrible hangover" ==> "You shoudn�t have drunk so much yesterday".
