Ngogng Hills short film comprehension
Worksheet accompanies viewing of a short 10 minute animation based upon a Masai legend from Kenya as to the origin of Ngong Hills (formed by a giant killed by Masai warriors).
Will take around 30 minutes, suggest children watch and enjoy the film first, then you go through the film slowly pausing for them to complete each task. Teachers notes are at bottom of worksheet including url where you can view the film online. Children will hear clear well pronounced English with a Kenyan accent. My class of 7 - 8 year old Spanish children greatly enjoyed watching the film and completing the worksheet which was amended slightly after they hsd been the first to trial it.
Works well as standalone or combined with other topics. General grammar and vocabulary can reinforce what youīve been teaching, could be a fun activity to give your class a break, feedback welcomed, thanks.
