Topic: Cinema (film reviews) -ed/-ing and adjectives Teaching aim(s): Ss learn/revise vocabulary related to cinema Ss read film review for gist and specific information Ss identify the differences between -ed/-ing adjectives Ss practise speaking and writing skills Learning outcomes: By the end of the lesson the students will have revised or learnt words related to cinema. The will be able to identify the difference between –ed/-ing adjectives. They will have had the opportunity to practise their speaking and writing skills. Presumed knowledge: The will be familiar with some vocabulary related to cinema. Anticipated student difficulties: Students may not be familiar with –ed/-ing adjectives. I will make sure that my examples are clear and that I concept check. Student may find some expressions in the film review difficult. I will provide a glossary. Materials/Aids: Two film review texts and worksheets of my own design.
