Fun video exercise: My blackberry is not working (BBC Classics): words with multiple meanings
This is a video exercise for words with multiple meanings. First, students read the transcript and guess where the dialogue takes place and what the men are talking about (probable answer: computer store). Then they watch the video (link included on handout) and find out that the dialogue is actually about fruit and vegetables. (In order for the joke to work, I wrote "XBOX" instead of "eggs box" at the end). Then you can discuss the multiple meanings of the words in capital letters with your students. My kids really enjoyed this exercise and I hope so will yours. HAVE FUN!!
