Fall Foods Scattergories Game
Classic scattergories directions: You need a category list and an answer sheet. You also need access to a timer and a letter die or random letter generator online.
First, you roll a letter, then you set the timer for a standard time, with my students we do 5 minutes, but the standard is 3 minutes per round. In the time allotted the students must find a word that fits the category for each number that starts with the letter rolled. For example, if the letter rolled is “R” and the topic is foods, you would want an answer like “ravioli”. That answer would be worth one point. Your goal is to have the most original and unique answers for each topic. Once the time is up, each participant or team takes turns sharing their answers for each category. If two people or teams have the same exact answer neither gets the point. Whoever has the most points at the end of the round wins that round!
