Superhero/Cartoon character card game (comparative, superlative and numbers) very fun! 3/3 Superhero/Cartoon character card game (comparative, superlative and numbers) very fun! 3/3

This is the third set of superhero/cartoon character cards. You can find the other sets here: http://www.eslprintables.com/printable.asp?id=160952#thetop http://www.eslprintables.com/printable.asp?id=160953#thetop This is a card game to practice the comparative and superlative (or numbers). It is also great for an extra end of lesson activity. Put students in pairs or groups of 3 and give each student about 8 cards. The first student looks at his/her top card and chooses a category and reads it out: eg "Power, seven". The other students then look at their top card and say the comparative "Mine is stronger." / "Mine is weaker." The student with the highest value takes all the cards and then chooses the next category and play continues. This is just one version - feel free to change the rules according to your class. Enjoy!

I have had so much fun with this game. I printed off and laminated 10 sets of the cards. Japanese kids love it. I get them in pairs to hold their decks face down, then one person says "Who is faster?" etc players count 1, 2, 3, and DRAW their top card. It´s just lucky chance. The winner makes the comparative sentence, gets the loser´s card and chooses the next category, with cards quickly shuffled before each draw. Equally good with superlatives as played by 3-4 students.
