This worksheet focuses on the use of MODAL VERBS(prohibition, probability, deduction)through a beautiful song of ColdPlay band.
- Firstly,students are asked to complete some blanks with appropriate modal verbs, according to the context of each statement.
- Secondly, in the vocabulary section, they will learn some words that express meaningful metaphors into the song.
- Thirdly, in the listening section, students are supposed to complete a series of exercises in order to practice their listening skill. In addition, they´ll practice their pronunciation through a phonetic exercise in which they are asked to complete a table with words extracted from this song and put them in appropriate columns, according to each phonetic symbol.
- Lastly, in the speaking section, students will discuss the message behind the song or the lyric itself and practice their listening comprehension skills.
