Phonemic Chart Vowels and Diphthongs matching pairs game worksheet

A very simple game to review vowels sounds and diphthong sounds from the phonemic chart. Print out the vowel and diphthong symbols on to card twice and cut them out. Lay them mixed up on the table face down. The first person takes their go by turning over two cards and saying the sound that is on the card. If the cards have the same symbol then the player keeps the two cards and has another turn. If the cards are not the same then the next player takes a turn. The winner is the player with the most pairs at the end of the game when all the cards have been won. Can be played with a minimum of 2 people. The whole phonetic chart can be use but the game lasts a long time.
