what job would you like to do? (can be edited)
I used this powerpoint to introduce the oral comprehension "cool jobs" from www.elllo.org http://www.elllo.org/english/0701/T749-Tim-GoodJob.htm
but my students said so many things as we watched this powerpoint that I thought i would leave it here.
here is what i did:
what can you see? there are 2 men...
what are they doing? they are talking, chatting...
imagine: what are they talking about? Maybe they are talking about their family. They may talk about their problems. They could be talking about their jobs...
then i showed them the images, they found the vocabulary...
you can build the dialogue using the images...
you can use it for any type of document (to anticipate a text where 2 characters are speaking), you just have to change the images (jobs, animals, food...)
