English powerpoint: directions and prepositions directions and prepositions

to teach directions and prepositions I usually start off with the power point then at the end get the students to stand up and ( I use a projector) first I say I´m in the pub and I´m a bit drunk tell me the way to the station so the students have hilarious fun making the drunkard go the wrong direction but meanwhile he has to explain where he is going and what he is passing etc.... then you can also say I´ve been invited to tea/ lunch at so and so place please can you tell me the way? after I have done this excercise I usually pull out a real map an get the students to ask and explain the directions of their desired destiny ( the students are usually quite complicated in their directions so can be a lot of fun!
