First and Last Letter - Flashcard Game
Ask students to form small groups.
Give each group a set of flashcards.
Say the first and last letter of a word, for example: “L – N” (for ‘listen’).
Students have to look for the word that starts and ends with those letters. Once they find it, a representative takes the flashcard and runs to the board to write the word.
The first student to write it correctly and to have the flashcard with him gets a point for his team.
If the word is not written correctly or if he forgot to bring the flashcard with him, he doesn’t get a point for his team.
