Onset and Rime Cards
I´ve used these slides for onset and rime games with the lower primaries with enormous success. Slides 2-7 contain the rimes while slides 8-9 contain the onset. I usually turn this into a game - print slides 2-7, laminate them and use them on the whiteboard with magnets. Cut and laminate the onsets as well. Put the onset cards in a bag and have Ss come and pick an onset from the bag. Ss have to put the chosen onset and rime together to sound the word. The lower primary classes have loved it and ask to play this time and again.
