This presentation is editable and one you can adapt for either teacher training or for students who are preparing for the IELTS Exam. This presentation explains who are the examiners and what they look for. I have used this originally in the context of training teachers who know little about the IELTS Exam for their classroom teaching in China. With some minor editing you could use this for a wide variety of contexts. To make the most effective use of this presentation you will need a copy of the Official IELTS Practice Material which can be obtained from the British Council in your country. Online from www.ielts.org or many ESL Booksellers etc. You also need to supply the students with a copy of the speaking test descriptors which can be downloaded as a PDF file from http://www.ielts.org/researchers/score_processing_and_reporting.aspx#speaking
