Similar words 2
I think most of the words here are the same in most languages. I show the pictures to my students and tell the names (That´s an ambulance, for example.) Then, I show half of the picture, trying to elicit correct answers. The kids love it. And then I play the basketball game: The one who tells the correct name looking at the picture has the chance to throw the ball into a basket. (In Turkey, we began to teach English to eight year-old kids. We started with the similar words between English and Turkish, which is a very very good idea)
