Content-Based Lesson About the Platypus
This powerpoint presents interesting information about an animal that a lot of students might not know much about. It is well-suited for a lesson that is focused on comprehensible input (combined with frequent comprehension checks), rather than a particular grammatical form. Tenses are limited to the present, with the exception of two slides near the end, which recount a past-tense narrative and could optionally be skipped. The auxiliary verb "can" and negating particle "not" are also used. A short multiple-choice quiz near the end rounds out the activity.
