Containers and Shopping
Itīs a simple flipchart, but I did enjoy the lesson using it (and so did the students). On the first page students are suggested to label the pictures (container plus product). On the second page they have to write down the word combination themselves, then I placed the writings to the left, the pictures to the right and asked students to match the again. The last page has a pattern for a dialogue. 4 students are invited. The two of them are shop assistants and others are visitors. The shop assistants advertise their shop, saying "We have the tastiest .... Come and buy the freshest ..." Then the visitors start their dialogue, choose the products they want to buy and place them "on" a cart. (Do we need any ...? Why donīt we buy some ... Letīs get some...) After that visitors talk to shop assistants and ask the price. Shop assistants write the price on the whiteboard.
