Sally´s Story (PowerPoint) - reading comprehension, collaborative chain writing
This PowerPoint accompanies the Sally´s Story worksheet to form a 60-90 minute lesson plan.
The focus is the beginning to a story (of ambiguous genre and which I adapted from an unknown source), which the students analyse and then continue in a chain writing exercise designed to motivate them to practice narrative tenses.
IMPORTANT NOTE: I designed this for use with French students, so for speakers of other languages you will have to change some of Task 2´s questions on the worksheet and PP (sorry!).
ALSO: The slide with Task 2 includes the answers, but the version of Office I was using (irritatingly) wouldn´t let me animate table cells individually so that the answers pop up one by one as you go through them withthe class. I´ve therefore put them in in white so that you can either animate them yourself or highlight them to make them visible (or just write them on the whiteboard as I did).
