GLOSSARY for year 4 primary students. GLOSSARY for year 4 primary students.

Full list of vocabulary to study and practice writing skills/spelling. The idea is that students fill up one column at a time. To make it a bit more challenging, once they have completed the second column in their own language, they fold back the first column so that they can only see the meaning in their own language and they have to make an effort and remember the English word and the correct spelling. As they advance, a column at a time, they keep folding the previous ones backwards, leaving visible the latest one completed as a reference. Once they finish a column, they unfold the paper and they check their own work. The transation could be provided as well in the studentsī own language. I hope I have explained it in a way that you can understand it and make it work in class. My students love it because they can self-assess their learning and their ability to memorise both: meaning and spelling. I really hope it is useful.
