No Ordinary House - Descriptive Adjectives Interactive Drawing Activity
Interesting activity kids will love.
This worksheet can be used for intermediate or advanced students. It contains two activities. The first are descriptive adjectives. These adjectives has corresponding opposites located in the work bank for the students to complete. Second, is a fun reading comprehension activity where students will be asked to draw a picture of a house being described in the paragraph. The paragraph utilizes the adjectives from the first activity.
Another take on this activity - when I have a small class of less than 7 kids or kids that are less advanced in some of the vocabulary, I do this activity on the whiteboard. One student reads a sentance aloud while another draws a picture of the sentence on the board. Then rotate so everyone gets a turn.
