The Fairy Tale
Divide the students into pairs. The one who gets the sheet is a little child. The other is his/her granny. The child went to bed but canīt fall asleep. He asks granny to tell him a fairy tale. He asks her questions from the sheet and she tries to make up a story. The questions were specially designed according to the structure of the heroic tale, so you should advise your grannies to make up tales about magic travels of some heroes.
The role play helps to train questioning and story-telling skills (in Past Simple).
