Shopping List ´Card Based Communicative Activity´ Game
This worksheet is designed to be used with my ´fruit cards´ and has proved successful in a number of my classes. Firstly, have the students write a ten item shopping list, choosing from the available fruits i.e. those on the cards. Then have the students practise the mini-dialogue in pairs. Then, deal out the cards. I usually use three or four packs, so that the students have five or six cards each. Then the students must go around the room and attempt to buy the items on their shopping list from their peers, using the mini-dialogue as the basis for their conversation. When an item has been successfully bought, the students can take the appropriate card and tick the item off their list.
