English worksheet: Idioms and Hyperboles Idioms and Hyperboles

I put together a list of common hyperboles and idioms to use for the class I am a student teacher for. The students picked numbers that were assigned to a specific hyperbole/idiom and then were required to: a) decide whether it was an idiom/hyperbole b) write what it actually means c) create an illustration that represented the saying. The students are in 7th and 8th grade, but many are at least a year below grade level. I hope this description gives someone else ideas for poetry!
