A listening discrimination exercise for Ss to distinguish between [l] and [r] sounds. 1. T reads aloud from a list of [l] and [r] minimal pairs (e.g. right/light, wrong/long, fire/file). 2. Ss listen & follow the worksheet to arrive at a particular location on the map. 3. Ss can take turns practicing in pairs after they feel comfortable. 4. Can be adapted to any two confusing sounds.
