Crazy Japanese Girls: English Corner Topic
This is a part of a article from Chinasmack.com. I have the students read out the article one sentence by sentence, and then discuss the topic. If the students are too lazy, or not interested, I break them into groups and assign them a comment made by Chinese or Westerner, and make them discuss the topic as a group in English for about five minutes. Then after five minutes I make one of them give their opinion, reaction, if they agree/disagree, etc. I choose randomly, so each member of the team is encouraged to talk to each other in the five minutes to figure out what they are going to say. My description isnīt great, but remember, just like any lesson/english corner, this is all about instruction and incentive to speak. Good Luck!
