Revision Test for Upper Intermediate - With lesson ideas!
This is a test I recently prepared for my group to review and jog the memory of the students mid-way through the course.
It assumes knowledge (or teaching) of the modal verbs (11) and modals in the past (should have + past participle). Conditionals (all) and some reading and writing about a holiday.
I´ve also some phrasal verb practise and idioms describing people (I did a lesson on idioms such as "Hard as nails", "cold as a fish", "know-all" (or "know-it-all"), "high-flyer", "a loner", "pain in the neck", "heart is in the right place".
There is some italian in this document which would be perfect for teaching in Italy but could be cut out - The test is already a long one (4 pages).
I hope you find it useful. My group found it a good challenge and enjoyed going through the answers and doing a recap of the grammar.
