it´s known that regular verbs are turned to the past tense by simply adding the suffix -ed. but for some verbs, there´ll be spelling changes that must be taken into concediration. besides, the -ed ending is pronounced 3 ways. Here is a simple guid I usually give my students. You may find it helpful.
