I noticed when doing vocabulary with my class, that although they knew the words... the spelling was terrible. So I tried to think of a way to get the kids to think about the spelling of a word before writing it down. I came up with this worksheet. The kids have to make their own wordsearch by fitting as many summer words into the grid as possible. The words can cross or overlap. This activity makes the kids look at the words closely to try to fit as many as possible into the box. I have just done it with my class about an hour ago and they loved it. At the end they swap papers to find each others words. Try it... have fun Yeti xx
