Summer Fun Board Game with Summer Clip Art (Greyscale Version Included) (Part 1 of a Set of 4 Seasons Games) worksheet

Ideas for play: Students use a die and tokens to move around the board. Every time they land on a picture they must name it, spell it and or use it in a sentence. Students may go around the board only once or go around and around until they have had a chance to name all the items on the board. In this case the winner could be the person who is the first to land on and name every picture on the board. The first picture could be considered swimming. But it looks more like playing or splashing. 1.) swimming 2.) starfish 3.) roasting marshmallows 4.) shorts 5.) ice-cream/ ice-cream cones 6.) flip flops 7.) beach ball 8.) watermelon 9.) shell/ sea shell 10.) sun glasses 11.) beach ball/ ball 12.) tent/ camping 13.) basket/ picnic basket 14.) sailboat/ sailing 15.) sun 16.) beach umbrella/ umbrella 17.) beach chair/ chair 18.) beach ball 19.) sandcastle 20.) beach towels/ towels 21.) sundress/ dress/ summer dress Play will last a little longer if you use the beach balls as spaces to land on. You may also choose to have a person miss a turn when they land on a beach ball. I will probably be making one board for each season.
