English worksheet: Crime (a recent robbery in London) Crime (a recent robbery in London)

In this lesson students firstly revise/learn some phrasal and non-phrasal verbs associated with crime. Then students look at some vocabulary from the text. Students then read the article from the telegraph about the recent robbery in one of Londonīs popular jewellery shops. After this there is a comprehension section. If possible, teachers could turn this into a jig-saw reading simply by cutting it. Then, students discuss how they would commit a robbery. After, students write a news paper article about the aftermath of the robbery, when the thieves are caught. A fun and challenging lesson which is popular with teenagers and adults.
