How Do You Spell -----?
As the ELL progresses through the writing process, he/she can use this "Spelling Corrector" form to help process words he/she is uncertain about how to spell correctly. The student writes the word using inventive spelling in the first column (his/her guess as to how it should be spelled), then consults the dictionary or teacher for the correct spelling, which he/she will write in the second column. After a while, a good collection of properly spelled English words will be accumulated for the learner to use in his/her own writing.
