Olypic games - mascot creation project -
By embarking the students in the adventure of designing and creating an Olympic mascot for the Vancouver games I hope they will develop their creative thinking. They will get familiarised with winter Canadian culture, Olympic symbolism and recyclable materials, while practicing their listening, writing, speaking and reading skills.
By completing this Mascot project students will hopefully understand why people consider Canada to be a great place to live.
The final activity allows students to create something that the whole school can see. I believe this will increase the quality of the work by many of the students as it is not just work for work sake.
