Present Perfect and Past Simple in speaking
I guess the activity is suitable even for upper-intermedite students. You just get more advanced output. At the elementary level, students first work individually. They write down questions have you ever....? for all the phrases given. Next, they work in pairs. They are to ask the first question in Present Perfect and then use Past Simple to ask for as much additional information as they can. When they finish, they change the partner and tell him/her about the person they´ve just talked to using Present Perfect nd Past Simple again.
