This is a very simple activity that may help your students understand the use of the second conditional without complications. It consists of underlining the if-clauses and circling their correspondent main clauses. After this, you may go through some details of what verb tenses are used for each clauses. But the best of it all is that you can write the statement "If everyone cared..." on the board and elicit students into providing possible complements for it, developing a discussion on what the world would be like if people cared more about one another and about the social problems that surround us.
