Context Clues - Vocabulary Chart/ Graphic Organizer
This chart/graphic organizer can work with ANY text. Pair it with your favorite story, article, or any class novel. It´s completely editable. The teacher can choose up to 11 words (per chart) from the text of their choice to have students practice their context clue skills. Students will write down: what they think the word means, and the text that makes them think that. In the last two columns students will look up the word and circle “yes” or “no” depending on whether they got it right. Students can even tally up how many words the correctly figured out at the bottom of the chart. It’s a great way for students and teachers to see the progress they are making!
