Become an English Language Mistake Detective - Solve the Case!
A fun activity that also acts as an assessment exercise. Have your students become English mistake detectives with this worksheet. (Answer sheet included). Students work in pairs to detect a variety of mistakes in 6 sentences. They correct those mistakes, then rewrite the correct sentence. They could find mistakes in spelling, punctuation, verb tense use, prepositions or pronouns. Great for the teacher to assess student understanding of these aspects of English. Students should explain why they chose to correct something in a specific way. Teacher can expand on some of the corrections by conducting a mini-review.
