Grammar Revision
I use this kind of activity at the beginning of the year to learn what students remember from the previous year and be able to focus on the weaker points later on. They like it because itīs a kind of game. I let them do it in pairs but thatīs my choice. It could also be done individually or in groups.
They have to read the sentences and decide if they are right or wrong. Then they must bet, anything between 10 and 100 according to how certain they are of their answer. I also ask them to try and correct those they find wrong.
After they are done, we check the answers and they add the points they had bet in the gain or loss columns. They add up a total score at the end. I make sure I keep a record of their mistakes so that I can revise that in the following lesson. You can adapt it to what they have learnt the year before or to check other grammatical points or vocabulary. Hope you like it.
