Movie Journal
A template students can use to keep a movie journal. I have my students watch one movie in English with English subtitles every two weeks as homework and the write up a summary. This helps with listening comprehension, acquisition of vocabulary, correct structure of sentences and choice of verb tenses, description of characters, expression of opinions. I always start them on Disney movies they are familiar with (so they´re not worried about "not understanding" the story) and then make my way up to more complicate stories gradually once they´ve gotten the hang of it.
