This worksheet is designed to help English language students understand what characteristics/skills employers are looking for. If you are currently looking to help students, who may be applying for English speaking jobs, this worksheet may assist you. The work sheet starts with an introduction which explains the importance of knowing what future employers are looking for. Then it outlines a 4 step, small group procedure. Students rank order a list of 10 defined skills. (It is intended for advanced or high intermediate level students). There is opportunity to learn new words/phrases, practice pronunciation and discuss the importance of the skills in a small group/partner setting. Once finished, the students are given the answers.(Answer Key included). They can then compare their answers with the actual employer rankings. Have a great day everyone!
