World Karaoke Championships - 1 Million Russian Dumplings
This is a very flexible exercise and can be done in multiple ways/stages, from 1 page to a total of three pages. The first page contains a short article, vocabulary and comprehension questions. The second page contains only the vocabulary and space for notes and summary. The third page has the vocabulary mixed up for a worksheet and it also contains the comprehension questions. - One way to use this is as a listening exercise by giving the students only the second page. You go over the vocabulary and then read the article out loud slowly (2-3 times) while students take notes. Then in pairs/groups, the students write a summary to be presented to the class. You can then add comprehension questions if desired/time allows. You can also give the students page 3 first and have them work the vocabulary out on their own and then answer the comprehension questions while you read. Many options here....
