English worksheet: Music Music Music English Only Version Music Music Music English Only Version

This is a great way to introduce the genres of music. Students do activities to learn about the genres. Finally they listen to snippets of music, guess the genres, and rank the songs. A CD or youtube playlist is required. Here is what I use: 1.) Reggae – Bob Marley “I shot the sheriff” 2.) Electronic – Aphex Twin “Start as you mean to go on” 3.) Punk – Sex Pistols “Anarchy in the UK” 4.) Rap – Eminem “Brain damage” 5.) Soul – Otis Redding “Sitting on the dock of the bay” 6.) Heavy Metal – Metalica “Enter Sandman” 7.) Classical – Mozart – “Eine kleine nachtmusik” 8.) RnB – Boys II Men “End of the road” 9.) Opera – Puccini “In questa reggia – from Turandot” 10.) Pop – Britney Spears “Oops..I did it again” 11.) Blues – Eric Clapton “Blues before sunrise” 12.) Jazz – John Coltrane “Blue Train” 13.) J-Pop – SMAP “Dear Woman” 14.) Rock – Queen “We will rock you”
